How to create a user that is able to see the Contacts Linked to a user and check on users with addresses to be subscribed for Distribution Services in MicroStrategy Desktop 9.0.x?
To create a user that will be able to see the Contacts linked to a user and check on users with addresses to be subscribed with by another user for Distribution Services in MicroStrategy Desktop 9.0.x follow the procedure described below.
Create a user and assign to it the the Web Professional privilege of "Web subscribe others". This will allow the newly created user to see Contacts that are linked to users and additionally the addresses that users have created for their Microstrategy User accounts.
If this privilege is granted and the Administrator would like to prevent this newly created user from seeing all of the users to subscribe, then the Administrator will need to change the Access Control List for the users that the subscriber is not allowed to see to "Denied All".
